Beyond the Billow
Author Unknown

Beyond the brave billow
Of the ninth wave there waits
A flaming grace upon the sea
Where Avalon of old once rose
With clarion voices free.

Now where, oh where,
In this pale world of fading pride
Will any find such joy or bliss?
Lost Avalon, bright Avalon
Was fairer far than this.

But hark!  What now?
A stirring there, from deep below
Disturbs the ivory foam
Oh, can it be?  From out the sea
Is Avalon come home!

Sweet songs rejoice from near and far
And many a priestess stops to thrill
At a hail that echoes deep within
For Avalon's glory and grace have come
To dwell with us again.
